Oscar Mulero & Fium

In addition to his solid career as a DJ, which has taken him to the booths of the most important clubs alongside the most notable names in the scene, the production work that Oscar Mulero has been engaging in questions the traditional rules of techno aesthetics. Combining interests ranging from post-punk or early eighties goth music, to the most experimental areas of nineties electronic music such as ambient, IDM or dub, Mulero has released a long list of maxi singles with famous labels such as Coda, Pure Plastic and Tresor, as well as three LPs for Warm Up Recordings and Detroit Underground.

Cristina de Silva and Nacho de la Vega are Fium: an artist collective dealing with photography, video, sound and multimedia installations. Their work has been seen at a variety of festivals, art centres and museums, and shares the current interest in the language of new technologies, although never actually elevating this language to the sublime. Their aim is to take a critical stance with the construction of the reality that is articulated by their images, reflecting at the same time on the recovery of past dreams and how these affect the way we understand our own present moment. Over the last few years they have combined their artistic work with the commission and production of a series of events such as Arenas Movedizas and L.E.V. Festival.
